9-12WHP wit CAI? No way.....

...is that possible? 3-5 WHP seems more like it. Those numbers seem a little to high for our N/A 3.5 motors. I read that in a thread down below. Has anybody have proof of this. When i had my Jim wolf dual pop chargers on my TTZ i was putting down a modest 17WHP, and i was Turbo charged . 9-12 WHP on a N/A engine seems a tad bit over the top for me.....

What do you guys think?

I believe when Frankencar came out with their intake for 2002 Maxima's they posted a 10whp gain verified by a dyno.

any dynos made by the manufacturer are biased in my opinion.

A close look at injen's dynos shows a testing in the wrong gear and fairly low outputs for a "healthy" engine

I can somewhat agree with this. I went with the frankencar becuase they video taped the dyno and you saw the results. I think the intake is worth 10 WHP..feels real strong up top..not to mention the sound..

heh, i'm not complaining since i'm running an intake based off the frankencar design. but I doubt i'm making 10whp on my 3.0 with a intake

it is possible. do stock dyno in summer with 110 F and do CAI dyno in winter with 32F ambient temp. you will see the difference.

Quite possible. My 2.5 Altima gained 9.7 to the wheels with an Injen. My 99 Max gained 8.8 with the Injen.

Frankencar also had an aftermarket exhaust on the car when they dynoed their intake.....
