Does anyone know what this error refers to? Is it the O2 sensor or does the catalytic converter need to be replaced?

 

it pertains to a tsb released from nissan. the newly updated tsb calls for a ecu flash which is covered under 8yr/80k federal emissions warranty. the flash has solved the problem for most but other have had to replace their cats in the event it did not solve it.

 

Does this TBS apply to 2000-2001 or 2002-2003 maximas?

 

it includes 2k cali specs and all 2k1 which are cali spec. if you dont know which you are, pop the hood and count the number of o2 sensors. if you have 4 then you are cali spec.

 

If U installed headers and have no cats at all U MIGHT get this code. This code basically means the Cat is not working. Resistor mod will cure that
