Surprise at Nissan Dealer

i went for my oil change... so i was seating at the waiting area!! when my car was done the guy that he drove my car to the garage, gave the keys to the guy at the register so the "garage boy" was like "that car is street racing" the register guy didnt say anything about it... i was so surprise, so i picked my keys and i went to my car, the garage boy came and he was like "you go to the racing?" i was like "not really" he was like "i saw you last saturday, thats why"

Just don't let him get his hands on your car for a longer period of time than needed to his job.

Why don't you wait until they deny you service before you go somewhere else?

he may have a point however you can set up a video camera in the car to see how they drive it, then sue the basterds for beatin on your car.

For the most part, nissan dealers techs don't have time to be playing with other people's cars. I think that you will be OK.

To some, this thread is really greek.

i go to the dealership on a monthly basis because i know nothing about cars. i used to have fears about , these guys will tell the cops (LOL) concerning the aftermarket things i have.

turns out in talking with them, they see all kinds of stuff everyday on all kinds of cars. and i also agree that they dont have time to take a car out and joy ride. the 2 places I go to seem to be really strict on these guys. who knows ?

Man, I dont even know what the dealer would do if I took my car there. I finally found a local Nissan Dealer for the first time a few days ago when I was helping a friend change the leaf springs on his 71 Duster (its a good 30mins away, lol).

I can just see it now "what the hell do you have on here?!?!?!?!?"

Frankly I can't see the dealer people doing much taking your car out for a ride other that just driving it around the block. If they were beating on it and got into an accident it could very well ruin their rep.

PS I grew up in the south end of E-Htfd off of Brewer St. Where are you?

Stop going around the swear censor bypass, don't do this * * * *. You'll get banned and you won't be the first.

Even if it is a free oil change, i would not go to dealer ship for the oil change. Most dealer ships use very cheap engine oil.

I dont see why you would have to go somewhere else. . . free oil is free oil . .. you could be jumping your car off ramps, they cant deny their free oil changes. As for full service, if you're worried about them beating on your car, put a post-it on your window of the current milage when the car was sent in, this usually hints to the service dept. that you do not want your car driven around. Also it doesnt hurt to ask for all the old parts they replaced (belts, spark-plugs, wires, etc.). You should be able to continue going to that dealer; and as another member said, if they deny you service - thats when you take the car elsewhere.
