I was wondering what would I need to do to swap to a 01 AE auto transmission. I think all I would need to do is swap ECU's.

 

why are you wanting to do this???
tranny and ECU are same on both 00 and 01

 

I think he wants to swap his 2000 auto with a 2001 AE auto which is equipped with limited slip. I would think it would just be a direct swap without needing to swap ecus but I honestly am not sure....

i would make sure to have the tcm from the ae tranny as well the ecu.

 

Reason is for the locking diff. and I am thinking of taking the AE auto and getting it bulletproofed.
