Pop quiz: on the 4 rear pads (4th gen), one of them has a metal piece coming out of it perpindicular to the pad material. Which position does that go in again? Thx!

 

If your talking about the rear brake pads and the little metal snub on the back of it... it should be facing down. The one with the snub on it is the inner pad. When you compress the caliper, remember to leave one of the grooves facing downward... it should look like a big + so the little metal snub can fit in...
