Maxima Ti info 4 Shane001

is an Australia only designation Max identical to NZ SEL model (top of the range). Options are driver's airbag and fog-lights which were not optional on NZ models.

Some of the more common problems with these cars are:

Auto trans same as U11 & U12 Bluebird / Stanza which means they don't handle V6 as well - expect failure around 200,000km esp if not well maintained. On the other hand, 2nd hand trannys are cheap to get because they were fitted to U12 Bluebirds / TRX's / Corsairs...
Original window regulators are known to fail periodically - replacements are better engineered.
Early models suffered from exhaust manifold stud failure. This was fixed for 91 & later models (at least in our part of the world).
Clock display tends to fade on & off due to some bad soldering.

Anything else is what you'd expect for a 90's car - look for a well looked after car & most problems would have been taken care of by now.

Engine is VG30E - cam belt needs changing every 100,000 clicks (60,000 miles). Great car for cruising
