Wide Body Kit Question

Hi there, new member here. This is a wonderful forum that will be quite useful for me in the near future. Question to all, I see there are wide body kits for alot of cars, do they make one for the 3rd gen Maximas? If so, who has the best kit? I'm about to tear into my Maxima and really like the way some of the wide body kits look. Any info would be helpful. And once again, hello to everyone!

NO wide bodykits for our maxima's. You have a VE engine. Have fun because you're pushing some seriuos powah. Get the stillen kit for $500. Go to www.stillen.com. You should get a y pipe and intake first. IMO.

Damn. Well it didn't hurt in asking and who knows since I'm a Designer, I might try to add that as a project to tackle. Anyway, I know Cattman Has Y-Pipes for our year cars but just curious, does anyone make a hi-po Throttle Body for our year car? I also thought about putting a Wolfgang cam in it, I believe that's his name so don't quote me on that. I've been so busy working on my other rides, it's time to get the dependable one in order (My Maxima)

I would go with a warpspeed y-pipe. It is $100 cheaper and supposedly a better fit for the VE engine than the Cattman.I don't think Jim Wolf makes cams for the VE, only the VG engine (although I could be mistaken). JWT does make an ECU upgrade, which is expensive but a good power adder. Also, ASP makes an underdrive pulley, which at ~$100 is a good mod for the money.

A lot of people on the .org try to start group deals on new body kits for the maxima but none of them ever seem to get off the ground... If we could get someone to draw some pictures of what potential kits would look like then maybe more people would be willing to front the money...

I am in the process of designing body kits for the 3 gen, i have a template drawing of the car with no bumper, these are 3 dimensional frontside shots.and so far i have a design with an opening sort of like the rx8 bumper. these are artist quality prints and i will have my first example up soon. give me some ideas and ill do what i can to let people see a unique maxima. by the way i like the widebody idea and that will be included in my next template.

dont get em wrong ive seen nice ground effects but itd be nice to see someone make a real sweet ground effect kit that just compliments the car. ive seen the stillen and wingswest one they are nice (the stillen kit being alot nicer) but i think some one on the .org could probally draw up the ideal ground effect kit. id go for that. i dunno if wide body kits can look good on our cars <look up>
