Plugs: NGK platinums (good for 60,000 miles, about $9-12 ea.) or NGK copper (about 30,000 miles and much cheaper)
Fuel filter: Most people recommend getting this filter from Nissan. I got mine at my stealership for $15. Some say you can buy the one for the Z and it'll last longer, but there's no performance gain.
I definitely recomment staying with NGK plugs. The plats are OEM, and I just put these in to replace some Bosch plats from the previous owner. It made quite a difference. Others have said the same thing.

NGK coppers, itll run you cheaper same performance just more frequency between changes 30k for copper 60k for platinums, as per wires, there are no wires, its a distributor less system in our cars, so you need not worry about that, coppers need to be gapped i think its .43 mm, im not absolutely surea but that though.

as for fuel filter, no clue, i used one from autozone since stealership wasnt open and i felt i had to change it, whiel your at it get some throttle body cleaner and check the how to's on how to clean that and the IAC, i did that the in combination with my fuel filter and my idle is not as jumpy (jumped like 50 rpms up and down while idling)

gap for plugs is .44mm; and usually if you get ngk's that a specific for the maxima they will usually come pregapped to this spec. Ex plug: BKR5E-11 (copper plug)

We don't have wires and the gap tolerance is .039-.045. Yes plugs do come pre gapped but unless you are a damn IDIOT check them yourself. The gap can cahnge during shipping.

probalby nill or negligable, unless your talking about an aftermarket air filter such as K&N, i doubt theres any improvement with a fuel filter and oil filter or whatever else, it moreso has to do with whether the filters efficienty performing
