Heating Stock Coils Bad??
Heating Stock Coils Bad??
Theirs this Car Shop that say they can heat my stock coils so that my car will be lowered about a 1"-1.5", they charge $150 to so this. Sounds like a cheap way to drop my car a little but I was just wondering if it's bad for my stock SE shocks. Anyone see any reason why I should not do this.
How is that a cheap way? For $150 you can buy good springs and put them on yourself in a day. That seems like a BS kind of thing to me. Wouldn't the heating and reshaping of the springs make them weaker? Why not just cut off a coil in each spring? Most of all your handling won't change at all and your stock struts wil eventually blow.
suspension isnt something you can do a half *** job for. you are talking about the ride quality of your car and i wouldnt dream doing something like this on my maxima or any other car for that matter. i understand u may be short on $$$$ but just take that 150, put it asside and get more money and do it all right. just my oppinion
