Sniffles. You guys are the best.

After spending 4 years on this forum. You guys are the best. I want to thank everyone that has helped me out with the problems that I had on my maxima. Some of you may know, I had a TON of problems with my maxima. (I started a thread asking if anyone can beat me in all the car problems that I had and i don't think anyone came close to it lol!). Owned two of them and that will be my last nissan vehicle.

Sold my 2003 SE to Carmax today. Total milage = 34568 miles. They offered me $18,200. Offer I could not refuse. I didn't even have to buy a car from them.

Thank you so much everyone. I truely appreciate the feedbacks that everyone has given me.

Thank you.

Yeah I feel really sorry for the person buying the car. BUT I specifically traded in the car while it was under factory warranty so the owner of the next car can have fun getting to know the nissan dealerships and enjoy how bad the service is lol.

I am thinking about the 2005 Honda Hybrid Accord or a 2004 Acura TL or waiting for the 2005 IS300 to come out if it's a new style.

If a hybrid offers better performance than the factory's v6 (a la RX400h) witht he benefits of a hybrid....why not?
What will you be driving until you settle on a replacement? What do you know about the 2k5 IS?

It's always sad to see an OG leave.

I know JACK about the 05 IS lol. I've been curious why they didn't bother putting the 3.3 liter inside their 04. Rumors are going around that they will have a V8 option in the IS series.

I am never buying another nissan car ever again. Unless in the future, they have better dealers in my area and if sometime during my lifetime, their service ranks as high as Infiniti lol.

I am driving a 1997 Chevy 2500 extended cab pick up truck right now h00t!!! That monster weighs 8500 pounds. Compared to our maxima around 3400 LOL.

Speaking of the Altima SE-R, what's going to happen with the maxima? Who is going to buy it?

By the way, it's so weird that the blue book value for my car was 14,400. Carmax gave me 18,200. That is so messed up.

I think the 3.3L V6 only applies to Camry-based vehicles: Camry, Solara, RX330, ES330, Sienna.
The 3.0L I6 is seemingly used only in RWD applications: SC300, Supra, IS300, GS300...unless there are some updates that I'm not aware of.
As far as cramming the 4.3L in the IS, I think it's been done numerous times in the aftermarket and I'm sure it's a scary beast. Right now the only small sedans with V8s are the S4 and the new C55 AMG.

I think Nissan and Infinti have the biggest gaps in quality/service when compared to Toyo/Lex & Acura/Honda.

Pimping the truck this summer, eh? Imagine the parties you can throw on the bed...

I don't even know if the SE-R is coming out...but it would sweet. The Max will appeal to more luxury-oriented, older people.

Getting ~$4k more than Bluebook isn't messed up...it's sweet!

If you want a 2005 hybrid, check out the new 2005 Toyota Highlander. It's got 275HP and lots of space for whatever. It'll probably have the performance and mileage of a 4th Gen auto which is not bad at all.
