Yet another post on the Airbag light. I did the reset thing a few months ago and it worked for a few months. Now the light is back on and the airbag reset doesnt work. Its just flashing differently. I'm hesitant in going to a dealer to have this diagnosed, but are there any other places that can fix this or do i need to go to a dealer for this....

 

most likely there is something faulty with ur airbags system... and the stealership will charge you a fortune for fixing it.. i think any garage that are specialized in inspecting,replacing or fixing the airbag should be ok. Make sure they are certified for this kind of work

ps. Even my airbag light is blinking, my left side ctrl module is gone.. i aint gonna replace it cuz its $$$$ but i am thinking of just taking out the blub of the airbag light cuz its annoying.. anyway i feel more secure without airbags loll

 

You're probably getting different flashes because you must be putting it in Diagnosis mode and it's flashing the pattern to identify what's wrong with the system.

 

The lights been going on for a few months... it becomes part of the car after awhile .. just decided it was about time to have it checked out. I know there was a TSB on the airbag... something to do with the harness fro the side air... back then when the search function was working there seemed to be a lot of people with this issue (airbag light). was also wondering if the majority had it fixed...will this affect the functionality of the airbags.. incl the side air... or is each case different... ill try to avoid having to find out the hard way, but its one of those just in case things...
