I have a 96 gle and my clock has never worked. Does anybody know if it is tied into the radio wiring cause my radio is screwed also. It works but you have to turn the power on everytime you start it up. Anyway I checked the fuses and stuff and everything is fine. Any links or ideas?

 

buy a new one, mine dont work either, you can get one for like $35-50 on car-part.com

 

I never knew there were so many available for cheap on car-part.com. My clock has been broken for a while but I didn't want to bother spending a lot of money. Thanks a lot

 

Before you buy a new one, probe the wiring harness connector for correct power levels (BAT, ACC, GND). This would rule out the wiring being a fault.

 

i'm having a problem with mine. I have to bang on it to work and sometimes it still doesn't after that.

 

Take out the clock and vents and check the connection in the back.

 

i agree with BigD, check the connections first.

 

theres nothing wrong with the wiring. open the clock, more than likely, the screen blew-out

 

My 97GLE clock is haywire too... Sometimes it's on, sometimes it's off.... I use to reset it everytime. Now.. I just let it do what it wants...

 

^ You have a loose connection for sure. I also kinda doubt the LCD burned out.

 

Wierd. My clock was completely out for the past year.

Went to replace my HU a few days ago and the clock is alive again.

Go figure!
