Why doesn't my alarm work?

I was testing my alarm the other day...windows down, locked with keypad, unlocking the doors and opening them...but it never went off. It worked when I got my car...and the keyless entry all works. What gives?

When you turn the car off do you press that little button and pull the key a little farther back. But if you locked with the keypad than you did. Do you have anything on the car seats? If not then you may have to buy an aftermarket system?

What I meant was that I read somewhere that some of the seats may have a device that measures a change in weight which in turn can turn off the alarm. Do I believe this? No, but just trying to help you out.

Another solution is to lock the doors using your keys then open it by manually pulling up the lock with the windows down. You must wait about 30 seconds so that the alarm can fully activate. In the dash there is a security light that stays illuminated then when it shuts off then you can open the doors.
