how do i know if wheel bearings are bad?
how can i check if this is my problem, when driving down the road my car sounds like i have some huge mudd tires or something. I think its my wheel bearings but im not sure, i can even notice a slight grinding sound too. The road noise i very loud in the car.
i also need new brakes but could brakes cause this noise.
i also need aligment to, but can that be the cause of this noise, how can i check if i need new wheel bearings?

i have this problem on my 96 with 115K.. i have for the past yr heard a const light humm friom the rear of my car at low speeds.. and then a few weeks bad when i was making right turn i would hear some clunking or grinding sound but i has stopped for now.. but i still have the humm.. i thought it was myy tires but its the rear bearing im sure
my car was making a heavy drone type sound which was very loud and annoying. When i turned left the noise went away. When the rotors and stuff are off, spin the hub (piece with the screws sticking out. It shouldnt make any noise. If it makes even the slightest noise, imagine that noise spinned 10 times faster.
I had the back hub replaced and my car is VERY VERY quiet now. Hub is very expensive but its well worth fixing. BTW, my left (back driver side) hub was bad
