Could use a little help - ABS Light after airborne affair
Could use a little help - ABS Light after airborne affair
So, I am an ***, I freely admit that I get a little exsuberant(sp) when behind te wheel of my car.
Yesterday I arrived in Virginia Beach for a little Vaca, I am driving down a road here and get a little excited with the throttle, the end result was I hit a dip in the road too fast and launched the max maybe 3 to 4 inches (all 4 wheels), when it came down I bottomed out, but, things seemed fine.
This morning I go to take a drive and, after a minute or 2 I noticed that my ABS light is on...bummer, any thoughts on if the airborne landing screwed up a snsor or something?
The car drives/brakes just fine, although, I have not done any hard braking, I drive a 2001 GXE if that helps any?
Thanks in advance....

pull the wheels off and check to make sure the abs wires to each of the calipers are not damaged/disconnected first of all.
Also, you could check to see if they're working by going to a parking lot or street with sand on it (try any side road off Atlantic Ave. at the beach) and stomp the brakes and see if the ABS kicks in.
Where in VaB did you do this?

the computer may have detected that one or more wheels were not moving while the others were if you had you foot on the brake when the car was in the air. Try disconnection the negative bat cable for a bit and see if the abs light resets. If not you may have damaged one of the abs weel sensors
