broke my trunk latch

Short story... Had a keg in my trunk secrued. It came loose, slammed agianst the back of the trunk, and now the trunk doesn't stay closed. I guess the best bet would be to get new otp and bottom latches frmo a junkyard right?

Are you sure the trunk doesn't need to be aligned? If the top latch is messed up, I have a spare one off my old trunk. Email me if interested.

I odn't think it needs to be realigned because it closes, it jsut doens't stay closed.

there are 2 parts to the trunk latch; the clasp on the actual lid, and the hook that it attaches to inside the trunk (the bottom one). is it the bottom one that broke? is that whole box broken off the inside of the trunk and slidding aorund? the box on the inside is seccured to the inside by 5 crappy spot welds. i slammed my trunk too hard the other day and ripped the whole thing off and had to get it welded back on.

I'm not entirely sure which it is. I think its the top part that gets stuck and looks bent, but the bottom part also seems messed up because the part that unlatches it slides up and down.
