Pics of dirty fuel from fuel filter

The fuel that came out was greyish-black. I feel a slight increase in performance, although this is subjective. I'm going to track my mileage to see if my mpg increases over the next few weeks.

Yeah

And yet there are people on this board that say FF dont need replacement?

Please keep track of mileage. I did mine and it looked like yours and
I got my mileage back.

Did you run into any issues?

It was really easy to do. I reached into my wallet and paid Infiniti one hour of labor for the job. They gave me a G35 for the day. I didn't want to have to deal with the mess. If you want to do the job yourself, there's a good writeup if you search.

I just called the local Nissan dealer and they told me that it does not need to be replaced. That does not make sence to me. For 17.55 i am going to get one right now. Look like an easy change

What if the rest of the gas in your tank was the same color?

I'm hoping to work on this tomorrow while the girl is out for the afternoon. I've been sitting on the parts, but those fuel pics are enough to motivate me.

I've changed my fuel filter numerous times on my 4th gen and others and the fuel always comes out looking like dirty water regardless if the filter has been in for 5K miles or 60K miles. I change the filter because it's easy on my car, but if Nissan says the 5th gens doesn't need changing, then I wouldn't worry about it.
