Anything weird about hooking up a sub to the bose?

97 bose system. I was going to split the wires going to the rears and use the high level inputs on an amp to a sub. I seem to recall some funny talk about impedence levels on the bose setups being peculiar...is there anything I need to know, or will this work fine? Thanks!

get any line converter and tap in to both of rear speakers - you'll have plenty of base.

however there are crossovers in the rear amps and the bose headunit uses signals that are crossed over as well. what you want to do is find which wires coming out of the HU are the rear high level inputs and slice those into RCA's and plug them into ur amp. thats what i did/have.
