i finally moved to a new location and my parents are now willing to buy a second car. Dad really likes the maxima, but he's going the altima route because the 3.5 be had for about 22K(brand new). the base maxima is running about 25K. Is there anything major in the maxima that the altima doesn't have that would justify paying the extra money(i really want the max!). I was considering a g35, but its not very snow friendly, and the awd version comes at a premium. Any help is appreciated.

btw, i don't plan on getting any extra packages, and i want the cloth seats.

sounds like you are going to get an altima no matter what we say...the price mixed with the look of the altima is hard to turn down...

my major reason for buying the max over the altima was size and looks...put the two side by side and it looks like big brother-little brother...plus everybody and their mother has an altima...only the few have 6th gen. maximas...

both are beautiful cars...

just be glad you aren't trying to decide between a camry or a corolla!

 

The Maxima is better than the Altima. Go with it. But I think the G35x is what you should go with. or maybe even a TL.

 

just drive a max and you will see a difference......i did. No comparison between the max and altima.....hands down
