headers are mounted on top of cylinders, they let the gas (not the liquid) go out into the exhaust system and out of the muffler

headers (exhaust manifolds), its serves the same purpose as the intake manifold except it is for the exhaust. our V6's have 2 exhaust manifolds, they take the exhaust gases from each of the cylinders and combine them into one pipe. here is a basic example of a header, its for a V8 but its the same principle http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...59&prmenbr=361

and yes we do have exhaust valves, they open after the cylinder has fired to release the exhaust gases into the header

Yes, header is another name for the exhaust manifold. In the common automotive usage, header is only used to describe a tubular steel manifold. As opposed the the cast iron OEM-type manifold.

providing incorrect info at anytime of day or night is wrong. you wouldnt care about the time if someone gave you a wrong advice and your engine went BOOM, would ya?

...incorrect. They have shown improvement. Nobody has official #s but people have seen about ~5hp over just a ypipe. That ~5hp could be off +/-2hp...so your guess is as good as mine.

Just depends on if you are trying to extrude every possible amount of hp out of your VQ if it is a worthy mod or not.
