95-99 bose cd/radio in a pre 95?

95-99 bose cd/radio in a pre 95?

would a '95-99 bose cd player/rad/cass be an easy replacement for my 1991 maxima se bose system? mine recenty stopped working and i found a good deal on a 1996 one. what do you guys think?

It can be made to work. The wiring was changed in 95 but you can make a harness or I think they sell a harness already made.

I made my own by going to the junk yard and cutting a harness out of a 95 up and used a regular 94 down installation harness.

yes it would work. go to a best buy or store like that and buy a female connector for a 91 and a male for a 95. read back of package to know which line goes where. not all wires are used, and connect
the dimmer lines together even though they both say (i think they were both positve). anyway it will work. I have a 93 and put a 98 radio in it and it works fine. you can also add a cd changer to it. plugs right in back of radio, check ebay.

D-sta did this aswell. I believe he just used a 95-99 adapter for the HU, then a 89-94 adapter for the car.
