starting problems
Well, I had a timing belt jump on me recently in my 92gxe. I decided to just go ahead and pull the heads and do everything while in it. Anyway, it's all back together, and I can't get the thing started. The timing belt is correct. I checked it at least twice, using mirror and such. When I crank it, it sounds as it should, with nice compression. The distributor is in correct also. I get fuel out of the filter, and also get fuel comming back out the return...so the rail has fuel.
No matter how much I crank, I can't even smell gas from the tailpipe. I'm thinking my injectors aren't firing any fuel.
I put a meter in one of the injector harnesses, and it is getting pulses of power when I crank the engine. I'm also getting spark to the plugs.
I'm going to be going back down to the garage later on and figured I'd drop a post and get other ideas and input as to what to do/try when I go down there.
I'm thinking I will begin by putting 12v to each injector and verify that they are working. Most likely this isn't a problem since the engine ran great before the timing belt jumped, but I may as well check it.
any other ideas I should pursue?
