A/C Compressor
I own a 2001 Maxima GLE with 56,000 miles. My mechanic noticed anti-freeze leaking from around the Water Pump area. The water pump is under the power train warranty so I went to the dealer. After looking at the car the dealer told me there is no leak around the water pump but AC coolant is leaking and my compressor is gone. The AC has been working OK lately and they want almost $1000 to replace. Anyone have any toughts?
Can you say "$tealer" ?
I would call nissan and complain since it's still under the powertrain like you said......tell them you have a few mechanics look at it and they all said the samething.
