Matt's Mod of the Week

Okay, I'm a ricer now... I have aftermarket pedals..

least they're real.

These are some new parts I'm prototyping for AutoVation Technologies

pedals are linked at the top..
some of the dash kit is from Joshua tree... (it's their "real metal" kit). www.woodtrim.com

the gauge bezel and shifter piece were both custom made by me.

Very nice Matt! Your interior looks perfectly clean.

BTW, what kind of shifter do you have?

300ZX shifter

but an Anniversary Edition would match the rest of his interior better and looks nicer anyway

Match better?
Let's see, I've got a RED car with BLACK interior and RED seatbelts. a BLACK shift boot with RED stitching is on the way.
my dash kit is bright brushed aluminum... why the hell would I want something with a semi-gloss aluminum finish that's in the shape of an alien head?

Brad, it's a J-Spec 300ZX shift ****. factory shifter that's been modded to shorten the throws. (and it's NOT the hacksaw type of mod)

I didn't know you had red seatbelts. It looks nice and smooth, but I just think it looks a little boring compared to the rest of the interior, but you might be right about the shades of Al not matching very well.

With the new shift boot, it should look very nice though so you can keep it.

And when I hit the first corner, you immediately knew why I had those harnesses.

Cool, it looks nice and short! I like the seats too, but what did you hook the shoulder harnesses to? It almost looks like the passenger side is on the rear seat.

not bad, but do sport seats really make a difference on cars with minimal suspension work like yours?
j/k

good stuff. I'd seen a couple pics of the seats before but I dont recall seeing ones with the seatbelts. I guess I need to browse through your different directories more. I usually spend most of my time browsing through shadysport trying to find more pics of that car.

you have tastefully altered the interior of your car, matt. good choices all-around. esp. the shifter. and seats.

your car must be extremely fast at this point. you got the VE and she is boosted, right? with VLSD. whole nine yards.

go to their website and see what they've got. black isn't an option. they're machined or bead blasted aluminum.
you could always paint them black, but it'd wear off pretty quick due to all the wear from your shoes.

Chad, I'm not boosted..... yet.
Craig, I actually never had pics of the belts posted online anywhere.. I took them several times, but somehow they never wound up on my webpage.. they'er floating around on my HDD in three places now. :\

Brad, they attach to the bolts for the rear belts between the top and bottom portion of the back seat. it's a little difficult to get someone back there, but I don't really care since I might need the back seat once a month. usually it's just cargo space.. If I know I'm going to be hauling people around, it's 5 minutes with a 14mm socket and extension to remove them and bolt the factory ones down.

Very nice matt. Did you have any problems taking off the accelerator pedal? I put some momo pedals on and the accelrator pedal was a pain to take off.

Nope.. this one you actually drilled small holes in the factory pedal and screwed this one onto it. the rest of them, you remove the covers and drill holes in the backing plate..
