91 or 92 Max not runnin good in rain

Hi All,
I was talking to a lady at my insurance agency today and she told me she has a maxima. Its a 91 or 92, I wanna say its an SE. Anyhow her daughter gave it to her and it has high miles (200000 some). She said it runs great....but when its wet/raining outside she has a hard time getting it started/running. Any suggestions? Thanks

More specfically, moisture under the distributor cap. Wipe the inside with a clean rag and make sure it seals well. Or consider buying a new one with a new gasket?

hi,

maxse99

can you please give use more detals on the car,

is it a gxe or se,

does the car still have the original wires and spark plugs and distributor cap,

if it does it needs to be replace because it could be 12 or 13 years old,

it is time for them to be replaced,

any other problems list them and we will try to help

Do you plan on buying the car or are you just trying to be nice?

I was having similar problems with my 90. For me the problem was the exhaust sensor wires were cut/chewed (squirrel). Once I fixed that I have not had a issue in moisture.
