sup guys..i was wondering if any of yous came accross this issue

i rewired my 4th gen clearence lights to make them brighter and also ahve my stock fog lights wired to come on without the headlights necessarily being on

recently every time i mess with my fog lights turning off/on..the fuse blows for the fogs...then i replaced the fuse....n turned the fogs on/off for a while and then the corner clearance light bulb blew...

i checked teh wiring it seems to be ok..

also these fogs were put on by the dealer few yrs ago... its a gxe max so they did their own wiring since they didnt have any plug/play harness to fit stock fogts into the car back in 99
any idea of what could be causing the problem? i've had my clearance lights rewired for more than a yr as well as my fogs..this just started to happen recently

Did you just twist the wires together, solder them or did you use those press and clamp thingys? I just did this mod this weekend and after blowing fuses a few months back cause of my fogs I have done fine the past few days.....

 

i just crimped the wires...still regardless. i checked those connections..n they're fine
i pulled em and moved them around...no flickering of the lights so the connections r tight

 

had the same problem on my friends SE-L , he had the wires in the wrong place, the bulbs would work for a second then blow the fuse.

 

wrong place? what do u mean
