you gotta pry them off because there are holes in the door that the molding things stick into

pull the trim around the handle off, theres a screw under a cap at the bottom of the hole in the armrest, pry out the window switch, then gently unseat the christmas tree clips that hold the panel to the door, starting from the bottom. When they're all out, hold the panel with the bottom away from the door and pull straight up to get the top out of the sill.

I think he was trying to get the door moldings off, instead of the door panel

Yeah, I was talking about the outside trim, was'nt sure if it was stuck with adhesive tape or if it left holes when removed?

Remove the OUTside trim from the INside of the door. This requires removing the inner panel as 1991tsi explained... and peeling away the plastic vapor barrier... then you will see the backside of the clips holding the trim to the door....

Cheers!
