*siiiiiigh* Camry cut me off and i swerved, spun out and went hard into the curb. Both rims on the right side are done and the right front shattered so definate suspension damage there, and when i spun out, went through some big bushes and a tree branch took out my windshield and put a nice fat scratch on my roof. Also went into an embankment and both airbags went off even though the damage doesnt look like they should have gone off.

Was able to drive to a side street, further destroying my rims but there are alot of blind turns on that street so i had to get off. No pics, but the hoods bent on a corner and the fenders and bumpers are all tweaked to hell. Frame looks ok and all the doors shut ok and the engine runs fine. Called the insurance and had it towed to the shop, hopefully it wont take too long to fix


Also: didnt file a police report, never touched the other guy and i came out of it without a scratch so i was on my own, my question is, do i have to file a report to the DMV?

 

i would file a police report it is illegal to cut someone off. i wouldn't be paying for an accident that happened because of someone elses carelesness

Nope, no plate, happened so fast. Went back for a look and it looks like i took out a sign too.

I shoulda just rammed his a$$.......

So what about the DMV thing, anyone know if i have to report it. Im guessing yes but i dont want to if i dont have to.

technically, you are supposed to report it if there is more than $750 in damage (used to be $500) or ANY injury at all, but if you do report it i think it will go on your record. i wouldnt report it if i were you, especially since no police report was taken.

 

My buddy took pics with his camera phone, the problem is he doesnt have the equipment or cabaility to email or download them but ill try and get them somehow. Got a nice pic of the rims, they were shattered crazy, looked like the aftermath of a police chase.

AS for the DMV thing, not reporting it if i have to is a really bad thing. Anybody know for sure?

And after 3 showers i still cant get that airbag smell off, i can still taste it too. .......what a day fellas

 

Yeah I was lucky enough to total the idiot that rammed me when she decided she had the right of way to turn left in an intersection when i was coming at 60mph. Totaled both cars, she payed for both

Legally yes you have to file a police report. If no witnesses saw the accident, and you arent going to persue any money on the deal since you dont have plates, just dont tell authorities about the accident and you should be fine. Its a big fine if you get caught not filing the report though. In Oregon you lose your license for awhile.
