ask for spring compressors for a car, any large auto place should have them.

 

autozone, vip.... just go to your local auto store and ask for the Macpherson strut coil spring compressor. price is around $30...

crappopotamus, this thread is discussing a tool to compress the spring to allow disassembly of the McPhearson strut assembly. I got mine at sears for less than $30. If you are ever going to do your suspension again I would recomend buying them because they pay for themselves after two jobs.
