Price on a new starter for 97

Well its on its way out. Third time this week I have had to tap the starter with a hammer to get my car to start. Any price estimates for a new one. I saw one online for $155. Anyone know where I can get one cheap and cost of labor that might be thrown on top. thanks

i got mines from pep boys for 150, you wont save much buying online cause of shipping.

And don't pay labor, its a very easy job and only takes like 30 minutes and used basic tools.

I got mine from the dealer for around $200.

Installing it is easy. Time consuming, but easy.

Since they are easy to replace, I took a chance on a $65 starter from the junkyard. That was over two years ago and it has been working flawlessly.

I bought a used one for $35 from a junkyard. Had it for 18 months with no problems. The job takes 30 minutes to an hour if you don't do anything else while you have the intake ducting off.
