Hi,

I am a newbie in this forum and somehow I still don't have the privilege to do the search so that I have to post a new thread here.

My 1999 Nissan Maxima GLE has given me some problems for quite some time. Every time when I drive a little longer such as half an hour, if I restart the car, it will give me a big smoke, but I don't seem to have problem driving it afterwards. Another problem is that soemtime I hear noise from engine (or muffler???) when I was trying to speed up a little bit after a long drive as well.

Anybody knows what's wrong? What should I do?

What color is the smoke ??

White = Burning coolant BAD
Black = Burning Gas
Blue = Burning Oil BAD

How has the oil level stayed between changes ?? Have you been using any oil or Coolant
