if you use dynamat extreme and put it on the back of the mirror, it would reflect sunlight and blind oncoming drivers

Not sure how the newer Max's are set up, but on my third gen the rearview is mounted by a bracket to the roof, but has a little rubber thingy that goes between the bracket and the windshield... When I had the rubber thing out when I got my tints, the mirror shook like crazy, but it all but stopped when I put the rubber thingy back in...

I was thinking to spray paint the dynamat extreme black and in a straight strip right across behind the mirror.

hmm. i need to something about this also. mine is rattling real bad now in the day time due the bass/heat and im afraid its gonna slit the mirror in half. i dont think anything will ever stop the rattling completely because i can put both hands on it and hold it, but it will still move a little.

That will do nothing. Dynamat does not form some kind of sound proof spacial anomoly, preventing sound just by it's presence alone. The mirror will still shake.

If you really want to do something, you would need to figure out how to tighten down the joint that allows the mirror to be moved. And of course once you do that, you won't be able to adjust your mirror anymore. Even then, it would probably still vibrate some.

Got both shaking, its pretty much impossible. Only option is to take it all apart, go overkill on the sounddeadner and hope it works after you get it back together. Id say, just turn it down a bit...although I can understand how difficult that can be

Horrible

This is the 4th car i've had a system in, and by FAR has the worst mirror shake. I can't even look at it because the moment i adjust it, and a good song comes on, it shakes right back, and i'm looking at my backseats through my rearview. Is there really no fix for this???

You guy's are lucky that your mirror is only dancing to the beat.....my mirror broke off from the bracket and replacing it would of cost me 600 bucks but since I have tinted windows...I bought the mirror without the auto dim.

600 dollars?! damn!

Might be just me, but with my Broadway mirror on, it seems to shake a bit more. With only the stock mirror, it doesn't seem to shake as much.

It's basically a clip-on mirror that give you a wider rear view.
