Buying Cruise Control parts...help me list them?

Hey all:

My Cruise Control on my 93gxe quit working last year. I found a guy parting his max out, and said he would sell me all the CC parts, as long as I know what to ask for, which I don't exactly. I'm hoping I can replace some things, and get it working again.

I guess I"ll ask for:
On/Off Switch
Steering Wheel controls
Actuator (that black canister looking thing connected to the throttle cable etc?)
Relay? (Isn't there a relay in the box underthe hood for this?)

Anything that I should be asking for?

Matt

hmm, when mine went out it was the actuator part. I just got the whole thing out of a junk yard car, plugged it in and everything was good.

So, I'm finding parts on ebay etc. Servo (actuator) etc. I found this auction for a "Cruise Control Module" and can't figure out what it is:

Anyone know? Do I need one?

that's the main control unit that goes under the dash

I'd first invest in a service manual (ebay) and troubleshoot the system so you can figure out exactly what is wrong and not spend extra money on parts you may not need

Good idea. I see one on ebay. Is this the type of manual I'll need: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=34229

Seems like an ok price.

yeah, that's what you're looking for
that is a little high. I think I got mine for $30-40ish a while back

also, if you can get a 94, they have an index in the back which is useful and there aren't any real differences in 93/94

I thought the 3rd gens went up to 93. I must have my years mixed up. I'll look for a 94 book.
