Spike tv's 52 greatest cars results..

ok, thus far we've missed out on the tuner car award...damn rsx's, lol. We also missed out on family sedan too...BMW stikes again. We also missed out on the make-out mobile to the wildcat...i think it was a pontiac...

the 350z missed out on sportscar and the G35 coupe missed out on favorite coupe...
i missed the result of Minivan...was typing...

i'll update this as the show goes on...

how could we possibly lose? maxima had 50% of the votes for family sedan. how could 5 series possibly beat us? that show is retarded. we were ownin the 5 series by 300+ votes. that thing only had like 200 votes total while the max had nearly 500 votes . bs show, they didnt go with the real results.

they stopped letting us see the results because they wanted to screw us over. i bet bmw bended over and had spike tv do them up the aZZ.
now im not gonna waste my time watching a FAKE show who gets paid by car companies to advertise their cars.

Let them know how you feel! My advice though, is not to mention your a Maxima owner but agree that the show was rigged. However you can let them know that you agree that the Maxima is the number #1family sedan!

I would rather have a 5 series over a maxima anyday.

Its soo much nicer and luxurious then the maxima.

GTO won muscle,
Seriously though, for family sedan, the bimmer wasn't a bad one to loose to.

sorry but there ain't gonna be a next time for me. I usually don't get involved in crap like this for the simple reason that this stuff happens pretty much all the time. period. (*me thinks back to last election *)
the "you win some, you lose some" addage does not work when humans are ACTIVELY invloved in the decision process. My $00.02

It's just a silly show, but there seems to be some BS flags a-flying!

I think they just copied most other magazines and TV shows on the GTO one. It seems like most "experts" say the GTO is the best muscle car, but I think most guys on the street would pick something else: a hemi Cuda, 1st Gen camaro or a Cobra. I can't remember what the choices were, but GTO is more like the pick for first muscle car, not best.

I doubt that the BMW 5-series actually received more votes than the Maxima that late in the game. I think the voting put the Max well ahead of all other cars at the time the numbers were pulled from the board.

Not only that, but statistically, there are over 2.5 times more Maxima owners than 5-series owners in the US (I looked at sales numbers -- for 2002 81k Maximas sold in the US, vs. about 31k 5-series Bimmers).

I don't believe there are that many wannabe Bimmer wishers that voted for the 5-series. I would think that most voters would probably skip that category altogether unless they had a family sedan, in which case, there are more Maxima owners...

anyway, we all know what the best family sedan is we all drive one

i think they simply ignored the cars that suddenly got a huge amount of vote in a few days because, us, the lighting folks and the fiero owners are claiming that we all had much more votes and still lost. that could only meant 1 thing to them ! word got out to the car forums.

you better believe it was. they had the whole show geared up the way they wanted it run. lets say we won the vote on fastest car because of our votes they still would of showed the corvette because it is faster and they know it. remember somebodys got to pay for the show.
