Spring comparison gallery finally complete!! (okay, almost...)

Well, after plenty of hunting and prodding, the springs comparison gallery is finally complete!

Give it a look here: http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/sp..._decision.html

Well, except for a couple minor details. Can you guys help with these?

1. Need measurements from ground to center of fender for H&R and Maxspeed
2. Need a better quality sideshot of Eibach drop

If anyone could help with the above, that'd be great. And big thanks to those who emailed me their shots!

5.0 owners - please don't take it personal! I decided to keep things as consistent as possible. This included Max's as similar as possible. Since I already had a few 5.5 gen SE shots, I decided to use 5.5 gen SE's as the standard. I was afraid the different weight of the 5th gen (due to 3.0 vs. 3.5) could make comparisons between 5.0 and 5.5 gen inconsistent.

Well, I figured with your back problems you had enough to worry about so I just hit up your new site and swiped the shot.

Thanks for the props guys.

Hey man, I have a white 2003 SE running on Eibach's and stock shocks. If you want, I can take a pic (with measurements) when I get home today. BTW, I have Illumina's on the way, so if you would like me to get a pic of that as well (with measurements, I can do that too).

Also, I assume the measurements are from the ground to the fender along the middle of the wheel?

Illuminas will not change your ride height at all, just the dampning effect of the suspension...

MixSER6 - Sounds great. Quicksilver's right - the Illuminas won't change the ride height so the shot from today should be great. And yes, the measurement is from the ground to the center of the bottom of the fender. Thanks!

Awesome work. I'll measure my maxspeeds this afternoon if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

Cool, I'll do it when I get home from the gym today.

I didn't think the Illumina's would change the ride height at all, but I figured I'd offer just incase. I'll probably still do a measure after I install them, just to see if they do (but like you said, they probably won't).

I put Eibachs on my 2000 I30 a little over a week ago if you want Pix of that. I dont know how much of a difference my fenders would make, but I dont think the weight is much different than a fully loaded max.

Lemmy know if you want a pic or two

That is one of the best websites I've ever seen, period. If you don't design websites for a living, you should. I'll be looking at your site a lot when I start adding more mods to the max. I now know what kind of springs I want, thanks.

THanks for another VERY helpful addition to your site. I've already used it for fog re-wire, will probly be using it to help decide what drop to do later this summer thanks to the new comparisons. Awsome job man!

If Maxspeeds & H&Rs drop the rear supposedly a 1/4 of an inch according to the measurements from stock. would it be realavant to just lower the front and maybe throw in a couple subs in the trunk to lower the rear that quarter inch the springs would do? as apposed to lowering the rear and then, putting in subs which lowers the rear even more giving a more uneven appearance?
