Got tranny, how to confirm its LSD??

does anyone know how i can find out if a certain VIN number on a car had LSD? I have a tranny here with a VIN and im not
certain if its LSD or not. No driveaxles so i cant see if they rotate in the same direction....any help is appreciated....thanks

RE4F04A = automatic
RE4F04V = automatic w/LSD
RS5F50A = 5-speed manual
RS5F50V = 5-speed manual w/LSD

i got a prob tho, i never got to see the donor car that the tranny came out from. I know all the transaxle codes but i cant find any on the tranny itself. Only a VIN number...
i picked up an axle seal for an LSD tranny and its different then the non LSD trany seal and it doesnt fit up in my tranny so thats why i think its the wrong one...crap

limited slip diff. makes sure that one of ur tires does not spin in the mud/snow etc while the other tire does nothing. It also induces braking in the wheel that is slipping producing power to the wheels that has traction. Thus punching the gas in a turn trying to induce drifting is sorta hard to do with cars with traction control and LSD This is according to the Lexus sales man that was trying to sell me an is300 with the LSD option.
