Flowmaster Clips on '96

I got the flowmaster 40 series delta flow and just had it installed today. I am going back tomorrow to get a magnaflow resonator put on. Here are some clips:

Right click, save as, it may take a while cause the we todd did racing server was very slow when I uploaded them. They equal to be about 2.7MB combined.

Reving
Driving

It's kinda ratling in the reving file, I am not sure if you can hear it, but is it just breaking in or what? Tell me what ya'll think, thanks.

Edit: I have a y-pipe

Myke123 I sent the clips to your email address. I can't get the resonator because my tire blew today and I have to fix that. Thanks.

It kinda sounds like my setup, Ractive muffler with non-resonated B-pipe and Y-pipe. I am very eager to put resonator there and change muffler, it's too loud and raspy.

inside sounds fine, but from the outside it sounds terrible. raspy and high-pitched.

The outside sounds better when it is warmed up and that is when the engine was cool. I will get a clip from the outside when the engine is warm. Yes I do have an exhaust leak, I believe it is at the muffler flang, what can I do about that? I was going to get a resonator put on today but I blew a tire last night and I have to deal with that right now.

Edit: Thanks for the input.

did you use a gasket on the flange? if not you can buy one or make one out of a sheet of header gasket and cut it to shape. Or you can use some hi temp red silcone sealant (I think its called RTV?)

I have the ring in the gasket, but I haven't tried to make one out of header gasket, I called some places around here and they didn't have it. I was thinking it would be easier to just cut off the flanges and weld a pipe in between them. Where could I find this RTV?

No offense intended...But I think you should look for a replacement muffler or something. Are you sure a resonator will get that raspy sound out? Ick. Inside sounds great though!

car_boy_16: no offense taken

The clip outside of the car sounds like crap cause the engine is cool and there is a rattle when it is cool, but when it warms up it sounds better. The clip inside the car is when the engine was warm. I don't really know how to explain why it is doing this. I will get a new clip as soon as I can, but it sounds better in real life IMO.

I have a magnaflow muffler with a y-pipe and hi flow cat, and i had that same type of sound. I joked with my friends about it because i knew it sounded terrible. I finally got tired of it so i went and got a resonator put into the exhaust system. The sound is now GONE and all that you hear is the deep exhaust tone. The resonator + install should only be $60 and it can be done in less than an hour.

Friends don't let friends do rice.....

I would have got GReddy cat-back, but I don't have $600 laying around. Next week I should get a resonator. Should a magnaflow resonator be good? They have a used one they can instal for $60. I think I am going to do that.
