Sound coming from front driver wheel

I'm getting a metal dragging sound coming from my front driver side wheel while traveling at speeds around 15-25 mph and is really annoying. You can also hear it while turning in either direction at slow speeds also. At higher speeds, I can't hear anything. When I took off the wheel to check, I didn't see anything hanging there and I rotated the tires. Could the problem be the rotors? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks

I bet it's the wheel bearing.

boo... i just took my car in not too long ago for an alignment and i suspected my wheel bearing might have been going and he said no =/. I really hope its not it. What are the exact symptoms of a bad wheel bearing?

That metal on metal type noise that can be heard at lower speeds, I also had a ticking type noise. I let it go so long I had to replace the whole hub and bearings. I did it myself the first time but I must have not gotten the hub pressed correctly because now the noise is back. T

Just brought my car in for the same exact noise and it was only the tire stop. It is a factory installed bolt that, when turned too much, it rubs against the stop (Metal piece). My mechanic put some grease on the bolt and stop and the noise disappeared. I dont know if it is the same problem but it is worth a look. Good luck. Todd

Check your brake pads, the ware indicator might be hitting your rotors telling you it's time for new pads.

It could also be the splash shield in back of the rotor, make sure it's not rubbing against it.
