fuel cutoff?

What is the rpm fuel cut off for a 97 stick maxima?

hopefully you'll NEVER take it there.. but the rev limiter is somethin like 6800 or 7k..... our engines arent rotaries, so you cant get em up there, many bad things will happen

There are many members here with extended redlines that are taking it to 7200 RPM repeatedly with no problems. Krismax has an 8000 RPM that he's explored often enough and his engine is still running fine. Please inform yourself before spouting off misinformation as fact.

Edit: I just noticed that you've only been on this site since February and you already have 293 posts, the bulk of which must've been posts like this one.

D@mn newbies. Push it and find out. The fuel cut is there for a reason. You could run the engine at redline all day long with no problem if the cooling system could keep up.

Fuel cutoff is right around 6400 rpm, I believe. Maybe 6500 rpm.

Redline bad? Whats wrong with you, dont you know crack kills? I take mine red line eeeerrrr time I get in it. (with petro so costly almost all the time) Thats what its there for...
