There was one, but it wasn't meant to be, so it was destroyed.

craig mack used an m90 style roots blower on his maxima. he wrecked the car before anything really came of it. he was the one and only to attempt the roots setup. to do a roots type setup it is going to take a good bit of custom fabrication.

God I'd love to have a roots blown VQ in my Maxima. I'd be like this all day long It probably wouldn't be as quick as a Vortech SC'd VQ, but the around the town power would be amazing and that roots SC whine would be killer.

He was trying to get the bugs fixed. I think the MAF was too close to the blower and he had to relocate the throttlebodsy to make it work. I think he had the smaller blower then the M90. He said it made some grinding noises also because the shaft from the blower was a little too long.

man. that was a sweet car. it was depressing when it got wrecked. He seems to have enjoyed the car he replaced it with.

I think given a couple of weeks he would've gotten the bugs worked out. Props to Craig for getting it up and running though.

I thought it was already done when he got in the accident? Didn't he say he got all the kinks worked out and got into the accident the same day?

Let's just be glad that Craig finally got his V8 and we don't have to listen to his crap as often.

Craig had the roots type blower working well for about 5 hours before his car got totalled . His thread would probably help explain what is needed to attempt this project, it has been done - but it has not really been seen if it would be a good setup as far as Dyno charts, reliability wise, etc.

What the heck? That is a weird way to make a roots work....I've never seen one applied like that...Kinda like a Centrifrugal mounting style but with roots....Odd...

Comptech makes a SC kit like that for the Honda/Acura V6's. As long as the shaft is perfectly balanced there's no problem with it.

thanks guys.. that looks pretty good. decently easy too. a lot of sc kits use shafts like that, like some honda kits, 3g eclipse, etc. but almost every kit uses centrifugal.

its gonna take me a bit to sift through those threads.. thanks!

i wonder why he did not relocate his battery to the trunk. And was he running an intercooler with the roots type s/c? Look nice and clean, if i didn't know that he pieced it together, i would say it was sold as a kit for a Nissan Maxima.
