Hey guys... im planning on getting tint for my white 97 maxima and was wondering what & should i get? if any of you white maxima owners have gotten their tint done and is satisfied... can you post pics and what % is it?

I got 5% on the rear and 35% on the front turned out alright if i say so myself.

 

20 % rear, 35 % front

 

Check with a good shop to see what percentages are legal in your state.

I believe in NY it's 20% rear, and 30% front.

Cops can pull you over if it looks too dark. They want to be able to see what the driver is doing.

 

IMO, F*ck what's legal. The cops don't pay for the mods on my car, so why should they be able to decide what I get? The 20% on MaximaBose's car looks sweet as hell. I am either getting 20% or 15%. Can't decide...

 

i got 20% and i like it, i just wish it was darker during the day but lighter at times like when backing up in the dark. i'd go with either 15% or 5%

 

20% is perfect in my opinion. In my car, you cant see in hardly at all during the day, but at night you can still see out pretty well.

i have 20%, i like it at night or when its cloudy you cant see in at all, and during the day its pretty dark too i have black leather/interior tho

 

20% does look pretty nice but i think the limit in texas is 30%. if i were to get anything below the legal limit.. who would check it anyways?

I have 20% on my car. It looks good but during the hot sunny days I wish I would have gotten like 10%.

 

20% is worth it, the legal limit in MA is 35% but i havent gotten hassled by the cops once yet (knock on wood) the inspection guy gave me a little trouble, but i just went to another place and they passed me. I say go dark or else you will regret getting a light tint and wish it was darker. even with 20%, i wish i woulda gone with my original plan of 5%

 

IMO, anything less than like 25% is too dark. It is not too bad during the day time, but at night, it gets hard to see when backing up and stuff.
I think mine is like 30%, but not really sure.
5% is way too dark!
You WILL get in trouble for that!

 

20% rear, 35% all sides so far no hassles from the cops as it's illegal here to have any kind of tint on the front sides!

Mirror tint looks great on white cars, while black tint looks better on dark cars, IMO.

 

MaxRB8, your great looks real good. What kind of springs do you have?

 

If you are gunna go for 15% or so, you might as well go all out and go the darkest which is 5%because they are % on front and rear and even did 25% on the winshield and i think it looks amazingly good, and i live in miami. takl about a place to get in trouble, and they havent given me much problems. but go for what is comfortable, as well as visible for you where you live.

 

I think the exact opposite is true:
Mirror tint looks good on dark cars, and Black tint looks really good on white cars.
IMO.

 

I don't know if it was said before, but get the darkest that your local laws allow. Cops can be ****s and it would be a shame to rip off new tint

 

Looks like I got an appointment on Monday to get my new 20% tint in so it's settled.. unless someone can talk me out of it. Legal limit in Texas is 30% but o well.

Nice!!!! Then they'll harrass your a$$ and if an inspection shop does the testing for the tints, you'll fail.

I've been played in the past by the state.

 

most likely i'm getting black. mirror tint looks too blinging and i already have enough chrome accents as it is being an gxe. as for inspection, i shouldnt have a problem
