I finally fawking did it...

Finally after much deliberation, I decided to do a semi-upgrade to my brake system. It was really hot outside but ended up finishing today. With a mini-write up from Brudaddy, finishing wasn't too hard. Just waiting for the paint to dry was time consuming. 3 coats of paint can be a waiting game. I started earlier today (8am) and finished up just a couple of hours ago.

Check it out and tell me what you think.

These are the rotors and brake lines(can't see it) from the group deal in the gd forum.

I'm not a big drilled rotor fan, but NICE wheels.

I painted my front calipers black too a year ago. They still look great today. A nice low maintenance color.

How do you put rotors on backwards? Do you mean on the wrong side or what?

Looks very good. What kind? Why drilled over slotted? It would look that much better if you had trimmed off the dustsheild. My brake project is on hold for now seeing as I'm saving for tranny swap. What kinda pads? This is a very similar setup to what I want.

Thanks, I thought they might look good on a Max, so I picked some up of ebay for a decent price. I payed $100 dollar's for the wheels & $60 bucks for shipping. I don't mind if everyone starts going with this look, but I wouldn't mind if I got the credit for being 1 of the first to bring it to the suface?

Thanks to all that replied!!!

Ludacris: i don't notice that much of a gain over stock but i might have to let them break in before I really do some high tensive driving.
97SEMAXI: No, they went on the right way. Pointing the drilled direction like a pinwheel.
JpMax: Thanks! That's what i was going for. Not something too too flashy.
broaner22: I chose these brembo rotors mostly cuz they look good in my wheel. Kinda small but look better than stock. I chose this pattern mostly because slotted/CD looks too crowded. Like there was too much on the rotor itself. So i went with something with less characteristics.
nostrixoxide: i don't think that you are the only one with those things.

I never said I was the only ONE, but thanks for your input. Do you think they are acceptable on a Max?
Are you sure you didn't put your brakes on the wrong side? The Brembo's I got have the drilled pattern going the other direction. I think you might want to read the top of the rotors again. I think the holes need to be the other direction so they displace the gases evenly...

Actually I'm positive you have the rotors on the wrong side, You might want to correct that before you fully break in your new rotors. Another thing you might want to double check is to make sure each lug nut is torqued to exactly 85ftlbs. or you will warp those Brembo's in a heart beat, especially during the break in cycle.

You should expect to see some significant braking gains after the brake in period. I noticed my vehicles stops from 60 to 0 about 50 or 60ft. sooner then it did with the stock setup.

Where did you purchase your Brembo's, (ebay) I'm alittle worried because true Brembo rotors come with a gold cadium plating on them & I don't see that on your's. I have heard some things about the Brembo's advertised on ebay, just thought I toss that out there just incase.

I'm pretty sure they go on that way. I haven't seen them on any other way.

There 18's & I have 225/40/18 Essenza tires. I think the tires are made by Dunlop.

I didn't paint the back of the brake pad. I ended up taking both pieces of the caliper off and painting them off the car. The back of the pad looks black because of the lube that i put on the back of the pad.
