mixed feelings on sprints

I am currently on maxspeeds springs coupled with adjustable agx's but lately I've been hearing alot of blown agx's struts with sprints springs. Before I bought the struts Agx's were praised as one of the best struts and wont blow with a 2 inch drops now illuminas are known to be the top strut. I have a set of sprint springs waiting to put on but now im afraid it'll blow the agx's. Just need responses who have blown there agx's on sprints and how long did it last?

One thing this Org lacks is a bit of common sense and the one thing it has too much of is bad information. No OEM style replacement strut will be able to handle a 2" drop for extended periods. It's just too much for the strut to handle because there is only so much piston motion in the strut and a 2" drop will put any strut outside of it's operating range. It doesn't matter if they're AGXs, Illumnias, or non-adjustables. The only struts that can handle extreme drops are the beefy and shortened housing struts you'd find on quality coilover kits (JIC, Tein). I know a ton of people on this Org swear their struts they've been running with their Sprint springs for over 15K miles are completely fine. I say no way. Struts gradually die and the driver rarely can feel the difference because it happens so gradually. The car slowly becomes more harsh because the springs start to lack the dampening of the struts and overall handling deteroriates dramatically. Only until the owner pulls apart their suspension and sees that the strut pistons do not retract out after being compressed will they realize their struts are blown.

My suggestion is either get quality springs that only lower the car no more than 1.6" (H&R or Eibach) and get quality adjustable struts. If you want a low ride, then do it the right way with quality coilovers.

Sprints are too short. You don't even need a spring compressor to install them. I think this would be an issue when pushing the car to the limit of lifting a rear wheel.
