I'm trying to eliminate a sporadic loss of power, the same thing everybody else with a VE seem to be complaining about. To start, I'm giving the engine a complete tune up and going over everything. I replaced all the vacuum hoses and found a bunch to be brittle and starting to crack.

Anyway, what are good spark plugs to use for the VE? Right now I have standard NGK's, I've always used them before on other cars. Nissan dealer wants $13 EACH for spark plugs because they are platinum.

I only recommend the NGK plats... try a local parts store or carparts.com and see if you can get them cheaper.. I've heard of them closer to $6-8 each.

I use Bosch Platinum's. Not the ones with the four prongs, though. Just the standard platinum's with the single prong. Nice even power. Never a glitch.

You can get the stock NGKs from Courtest for under $8 each, I think they're your best bet.
