Massive HP boost..too good to be true?

Alright, this starts out as a race story. I know about the weekend thing, but bare with me. Im driving on the highway and a civic EX with an exhaust system and CAI and some other minor things pull up to me. All he does is look inside, and then he downshifted and got on it...after about 3-4 seconds, he pulled away a little bit and my friend says "maybe he wants to race?" We laughed our asses off, then I decided to catch and pass him. About half a mile down the road I found him and just layed on it to pass him. As soon as I came into sight he got on it also, after about 10 seconds I caught him at about 120 and just left his ***. We pulled into a gas station and got to talking, he said a couple things like "damn those maximas are pretty fast man" and some other ****. He finally told me about this little resistor that you can bypass your IAT sensor and it gives you a 20hp boost or some ****? I think Ive heard of this, but does it work, and if it does what kind of resistor do you use?

Haha, that was cool. I always wanted to be all dramatic like that. Please read what you wrote and think about it. A dude in a Civic was giving you advice about a Max? Read the FAQ's so next time when a riced out kid says something like that you can say, "No, your wrong" and start spitting out **** like, "The IAT is only used as a check up to make sure that everything is in line. In other cars it may directly effect performance but that is not the case with the Maxima." After you've said that, you get in your beautiful and powerful max and bore away.

I dont think you should listen to any civic rice. It would be different if it was one of those rare ones running sick numbers.

Don't ya'll know that civics are the epitome of race cars and that there drivers know everything there is to know about racing and cars in general! Hey, cutting or heating your springs is the best way to lower your car too. Don't even worry about camber adjustment either. It is really cool when your tires lean in to your car at the top!
