I made my own front lip lol *pics*

Never really liked the Stillen lip for 97-99s bc the design stuck out too much and didnt look like it belonged on our cars. I always figured that a japanese vip style lip like this would look better on our cars

So a trip to home depot, $3, some double-sided tape and some screws later I have a lip Got the idea from some drifter 240s and rx7s at my school and im not complaining. It wont ever break, I dont have to worry about scraping it and it looks damn good for $3. All of my friends couldnt believe how good it looked and how cheap it was..

call it all you want...im happy with it =)

It would probably look better if it was painted. But props on the creativity.

yea but then i would have to worry about scraping, etc. Besides plenty of cars come with flat black front lips (skyline gt-r, 240sx, etc.)

What material did you make the lip from, Luda? I think it looks pretty clean.

Looks sweet

Thanks a lot guys...

Well it was like $3.50 out the door for my "lip" and it only took like 20 min of fitting and installing. I think if you use this stuff for the sides or rear that would look really ghetto. The front you can pull off without looking ghetto bc there are a bunch of these style lips out on the market. I'll be saving for stillen sides and rears.

hahaha i have no idea what its called but its real easy to find. Just go to the carpeting section and look through the aisles for rolls of plastic moulding. They come in different colors..

See if you could "mold" it just a bit more - around fogs etc....
some "custom" dremel action might make look even better.

Can I have a lil write-up? I'll maybe try it off for a few bucks. You said you need some screws...does that mean you made holes in the bumper to put this thing on?

yeah definetly dude...my main problem with the way the car looks has always been that the rear and sides look naked. The front always looked good to me...but it only costed $3 so i just tried it

I thought about it a bit and there must be a way to make the bottom part be further the the upper part no? What I mean is making the "lip" look like the one in the top of the first page, making it look even more like if it's a lip or maybe would that make it too noticeable maybe?

If someone calls this clean, someone else should put a pad lock on this site. Yes, you do get the credit for creativity thou. Not too shabby if your very short on the cashflow.

My definition of clean is subtlety...if this isn't subtle I don't know what is. Part of my influence was the way the Integra Type-R lip looks like it was part of the car originally...I wanted a lip that would do the same for the Max but no one has come out with one yet. But yea its real ghetto...im a jobless college student what can i say?

hmmm...i know that if you mount the lip higher onto the little ledge that is in the lower bumper airdam then the lip tilts out like the lip on the 1st page. Dont drill into your bumper unless your sure you like how it looks...
