How do you make DTM tails?

anyone got a mini write up or anything. Do you leave the lenses in or remove them and do you spray the lense or the inside of the housing? Thanks...

I think you paint the silver reflector inside the housing.

Not hard at all, but it will take you a few hours to finish.

Just buy some clear sealant to reseal the lights. I thought I had enough glue from the factory but now they get slight condensation once and awhile. Oh and use gloss paint, cuz i regret using flat black. The VQ directions are great but you dont need to use tools to get the lights apart. I heated the lights in the oven 200* or so, for 7 min. and tried to pull them apart....then put them back in and tried every 2 min. after. They eventually came apart without breakin or melting. Just remeber to remove all the tiny screws.

So you think the medium gloss would look better then flat? It would match the red part more probably........

mine turned out great, used 220 in the oven for 10 min, and I used satin paint instead of flat, I ended up cracking one of the lenses because the glue was not soft enough at 200 deg
