HotShot Headers/Downpipe and Underdrive Pully

Well, I just ordered up the HotShot Headers/Downpipe and UnderDrive Pully from SouthWestAutoWorks and am so Damn excited to put them on my 03 Maxima SE 6 Speed. This I believe will complete my Maxima Setup for a long time. Anybody else have the HotShot Headers on their Max?

first, congrats on all the new stuff! You should be very pleased with the hotshot headers. I just had mine installed last month, and they are great. Deep throaty sound, that when combined with a full catback, i think it sounds like something exotic and different. Not ricey one bit, but very deep and angry heheh. I do feel they add alot of power, especially at the high end, though I will say you will be setting off some car alarms, and you will be noticed alot.

Your car looks hot, i'm sure your gonna love everything.

p.s don't kid yourself, your not complete, the mod bug has bit, and it won't be happy until your car is a rocket hehehe.

that is so funny i just ordered my hotshot headers from SWA works and i am getting ready to order the UDP too. how long did they say it would be before you get the headers they told me they are on back order i talked to them Tusday and they said 7-10 day till they get them so about two weeks till i get them, mind you i ordered my on May 13 . But i hope to have them soon i am also trying to get my hands on a aftermarket intake manifold like the one SSR makes for the 350z. but cool set up man i think these two things will make a big diffrence in our cars. still cool

How do the 02 sensors react to the missing cat's? I'd like to get some headers but am worried about this problem. I also have a test pipe... so if I got headers I'd have absolutely no cat's. Any thoughts/

Get the dyno done at Crazy Horse in NJ. I think 3 of have had it done there already.

The headers are great and add alot of top end power, congrats on your purchase. I noticed though that the ecu in my 2k2 does not want to recognize the power gain and does a whole lot of retarding causing the headers not to perform at their designed peak. For that reason im having an safc2 installed to control the fuel/air ratio. I dont know if this is an isolated problem with my car only, so i thought i'd share this with you. When you dyno make sure they pay close attention to the a/f ratio so you know if your car is doing it too.

jet chips do not work for the 5th gen ECU. The only one that I know of is the TS ECU.

It is going to help my car. I know where the fuel mixture needs to be fattened up. It is a matter of what your ecu will do. Just an FYI. Regardless of that the headers added a huge power gain to my car on the top end. Don't worry, you will love em.

An E-Manage or SAFC should be able to fatten the fuel wherever you need it. Jet chips dont work simply because they havent cracked the encryption on the ECU. Also, theyh have NVIS issues (car wont start). Save time and hassle and get a TS flash, then tune it as you see fit with an E-Manage or SAFC

just reset ur ecu... leave the battery unhooked for 30 min. It will relearn the new power and how u drive.

there is an easier way to do it than unhooking the battery. Look Here:
