HID's W/ Remote Lock

Hi guys. I heard a guy complaining about how you can break your HID's when you remote lock your car; you know the lights flash. I wanted to know if this was true b/c I'm going to retrofit my 2k max with 2k2/3 HID's. Addtionally how much do you have to donate in order to be able to search and to get a .org decal. I did look for these answers but without the search it is hard. Thanks

I've remote locked my car 3 to 10 times a day for the last year and a half. They still work. Go figure.

The HID's don't flash. Only the blinkers when you use the remote lock. What sucks though is that when your alarm goes off, the HIDs flash. Turning on and off your HID lights repeatedly will reduce the life of the bulbs. Bad design Nissan.

Try using your flash to pass with your headlights off.. It flashes both the HID's and the highbeams.

Now set off your factory alarm..> It flashes he HID's with it!

On on your 2k maxima, hid's will not remote flash, plus the wiring and the guilt of having stolen hid lights is going to haunt you forever, buy aftermarket projector's they dont get stolen and cheaper and you dont have to sleep @ night knowing some poor guy is without his headlights because you wana retorfit your maxima and arent willing to pay 100$ more a month to buy a 2k2 maxima

In answer to your questions about donations - they haven't been accepted since Nov. and no one knows when they'll be accepted again.

How much would it cost to replace a hid bulb at the dealership? Not the whole housing, just the bulb? what is the average life of these lights?
