grounding the vtc will stop your VTCs from ticking if they've gone bad

how-to in on my page
http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.html

the pic probably wont work so you have to right click on the red X and go to properties, then copy and paste the image location; after that is done for each pic, then the page should work fine

gotta love geocities =)

it could be; the VTCs are a very common problem for 92-94SE

they usually cause a ticking noise and a slight loss of power like you mentioned so my guess would be that, but I can't tell you for sure

the rewire stopped the noise on my car and several other peoples
some people say they lose power after it, other say they gain some; I didn't really notice any difference in performance, just the noise is gone which is what I wanted

obviously ground one wire wont mechanically fix the vtcs ,but it just disables them

try it; it only takes 1/2 hour at the very most and it is easily reversible if you dont like it for some reason

did you try the method above? if so, also try hitting refresh a few times and it should work
geocities is very weird and sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, but I haven't had time to move it to another server

if that doesn't work, email me and I can send you a zip file with the pics and the instructions
